Discovered by the Belgian Antarctic Expedition, 1897-1899, under Adrien de Gerlache, and named by him for General Neyt, the first to contribute to the national subscription for the Belgian Antarctic Expedition, organized by the Royal Belgian Geographical Society. |

Belgica information (fr): Cap situé à 1 km au sud-est du cap Moureaux, extrémité nord de l’île Liège, dans l’archipel Palmer. Découverte par l’expédition belge en Antarctique de 1897-1899 sous le commandement d’Adrien de Gerlache et baptisée par lui en l’honneur du général Neyt. Ce dernier fut le premier à répondre à la souscription nationale en faveur de l’expédition organisée par la Société royale belge de géographie. |

Belgica information (nl): Deze kaap ligt 1 km ten zuidoosten van Kaap Moureaux, de uiterste noordpunt van Luik Eiland in de Palmer Archipel. De Belgische Antarctica expeditie (1897-1899) onder leiding van Adrien de Gerlache ontdekte de kaap en noemde hem naar generaal Neyt, die als eerste intekende op de nationale inzamelactie van de Société Royale Belge de Géographie. |
