Notes GEBCO: discoverer and year of discovery: History: Named in association with Pukeroro (hill) on the adjacent New Zealand mainland. Lit. "puke": hill; "roro": a mountain tree or the front end of a building.

Additional information: This NE-SW trending feature is located on the lower continental shelf approximately 50 km offshore from the SE coast of the North Island of New Zealand. The name first appeared on NZ Coastal Bathymetry Series (CBS) chart 'Palliser' in 1988. Minimum depth (m): 1500. Maximum depth (m): 1950. Total relief (m): 450. Dimension: 40 km
