GEBCO: discoverer and year of discovery (en): Discoverer: Research vessel DSSV Pressure Drop. Year of discovery: 2019. History: Named in relation to the bad whether conditions, and its consequences, that the ship and scientific party encountered during the month long voyage to the South Sandwich Trench. It was on this site where the majority of bad luck occurred and led to the loss of a lot of equipment.
