Belgica information (en): Island 1 mi long, lying 3 mi NE of Emma Island in the north-central portion of Wilhelmina Bay, off the W coast of Graham Land. Discovered by the BelgAE, 1897-99, under Gerlache, and named by him for J. Delaite, a supporter of the expedition (http://www.mapplanet.com/?do=loc&country=_A&adm1=08&loc=20003015 / http://geonames.usgs.gov). |

Belgica information (en): Island 2 km long, lying 6 km NE of Emma Island at the entrance of Wilhelmina Bay, off the west coast of Graham Land. Discovered by the Belgian Antarctic Expedition, 1897-1899, under Adrien de Gerlache, and named by him for Julien Delaire, secretary of the Propaganda Committee for the expedition of the city of Liège. In the SCAR gazetteer misspelled as Delaite. |

Belgica information (fr): Ile de 2 km de long, située à 6 km au nord-est de l’île Emma, à l’entrée de la baie Wilhelmina, au large de la côte ouest de la Terre de Graham. Découverte par l’expédition belge en Antarctique de 1897-1899 sous le commandement d’Adrien de Gerlache et baptisée par lui en l’honneur de Julien Delaire, secrétaire du comité de soutien de l’expédition pour la ville de Liège. Mal orthographiée –Delaite – dans le SCAR gazetteer. |

De Belgische Antarctica expeditie (1897-1899) ontdekte het eiland en Adrien de Gerlache noemde het naar Julien Delaire, secretaris van het Luikse propagandacomité voor de expeditie. Fout gespeld als Delaite in de SCARGazetteer. |
