History: Named from the Japanese survey vessel "Takuyo" that discovered this feature. This feature is the fifth seamount discovered by S/V "Takuyo". "Daigo" stands for "fifth" in Japan    
Additional information (en): This feature is a large seamount, with two flat-topped summits. A spur with 50 km in length extends to the northeast from the southeast summit. Minami-Tori Shima Island, Japan's easternmost land territory is located to the northeast of the seamount. Minim
