GEBCO: discoverer and year of discovery (en): Discoverer: Japanese survey vessel "Takuyo". Year of discovery: 1999. History: Named from the Japanese survey vessel "Takuyo" that discovered this feature. This is the fourth seamount discovered by S/V "Takuyo". "Daiyon" stands for "fourth" in Japanese.    
Additional information (en): This feature is a large seamount located close to Minami-Tori Shima Island, Japan's easternmost land territory. A small unnamed seamount is located to the south. Minimum depth (m): 950. Maximum depth (m): 5600. Total relief (m): 4650. Dimension: 60 km x 1
