It is approximately 50 km offshore from Mahia Peninsula, which is on the central E coast of the North Island of New Zealand. The name first appeared on Coastal Bathymetry Series (CBS) chart 'Mahia' in 1992. Minimum depth (m): 845. Maximum depth (m): 1370. Total relief (m): 525. Dimension/size: 8 km x 4 km. |
