History: The term "Yuqing" comes from a poem known as "Nuo" in the Shijing·Shangsong, a collection of ancient Chinese poems from 11th to 6th century B.C. "Nuo" is the first poem in Shangsong, from the descendants of Shang to pay tribute to their ancestors. The music is played from four instruments: Gu, Guan, Qing and Yong. Among them, Yuqing is an ancient instrument of China, made of jade. |
