GEBCO: discoverer and year of discovery (en): Discoverer: Chinese survey vessel "Li Siguang Hao". Year of discovery: 2012. History: The term "Liezu" comes from a poem known as "Nuo" in the Shijing·Shangsong, a collection of ancient Chinese Poems from 11th to 6th century B.C. "Nuo" is the first poem in Shangsong, describing that the descendants of Shang paid tribute to their ancestors. In Chinese, "Liezu" means meritorious ancestors of China.
