GEBCO: discoverer and year of discovery (en): History: Taken from Island Bathymetry Series (IBS) Chart "Campbell Island", Cullen, 1971, New Zealand Oceanographic Institute. Named from the adjacent land feature on Campbell Island: Courrejolles Point, which was named after a lieutenant on the Vire, the French expedition that observed the Transit of Venus in 1874.    
Additional information (en): This feature is a steeply inclined part of the continental slope approximately 50 km NW of Campbell Island / Motu Ihupuku, a subantarctic island of New Zealand. Minimum depth (m): 150. Maximum depth (m): 500. Total relief (m): 350. Dimension: ~ 40 km.
