GEBCO: discoverer and year of discovery (en): History: Named from the adjacent land feature to the east, Bream Head, which was named in 1769 by Captain Cook after catching 90-100 bream fish in the area.    
Additional information (en): This feature comprises two knolls, close to the shelf edge and offshore from the NE coast of the North Island of New Zealand. The name first appeared on NZ Coastal Bathymetry Series (CBS) chart 'Poor Knights' in 1995. Minimum depth (m): 130. Maximum depth (m): 200. Total relief (m): 70. Dimension: 10 km x 10 km.
