Notes GEBCO: discoverer and year of discovery (en): History: Named in association with Lewis Bay, which the US-ACAN named in 1964 for Captain Price Lewis of the United States Navy, commanding officer of the USS "Staten Island" during Deep Freeze IV (1958-59), and assistant chief of staff and ship group commander, US Naval Support Force, Antarctica in 1963 and 1964.
