Notes Additional information (en): A seamount located southwest of the Hawaiian Islands in the Pacific Ocean. Named for the American Brig, Sally, piloted by Captain Joseph Pierpont, that grounded nearby in 1796. This feature name was proposed by the University of Hawaii at Manoa Department of Oceanography. Approved by the U.S. Board on Geographic Names at USBGN Meeting 273; 17 July 2018.
