Notes Additional information (en): A guyot located southwest of the Hawaiian Islands in the Pacific Ocean. Named for Alexander Wetmore, an American ornithologist and member of the Tanager Expedition, which conducted biological surveys of the Hawaiian Islands in 1923-24. This feature name was proposed by the University of Hawaii at Manoa Department of Oceanography. Approved by the U.S. Board on Geographic Names at USBGN Meeting 273; 17 July 2018.
