Year of discovery: 2017. History: Named from the nearby Biyu Beach, close to the Antarctic Great Wall Station, a scientific station established by China. The beach was named by the Chinese Antarctic Research Team in 1986 and has been accepted by SCAR. ""Biyu"" means ""Jade"" in Chinese, a kind of precious stone."
