Additional information (en): Feature description: An undersea hill in the Southern Ocean. History/Origin/Meaning: Dr Edward Kidson (1882-1939), Director of NZ Met Service, was an authority on Antarctic meteorology. He was part of the magnetic survey team on the 1907 Canterbury Philosophical Institute Sub-Antarctic Islands Scientific Expedition, and wrote up Shackleton and Mawson expedition meteorological data. |
