GEBCO: associated meeting, proposer and year of proposal (en): Associated meeting: SCUFN-34. Proposer: Geological Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences (GINRAS). History: 2020.    
GEBCO: discoverer and year of discovery (en): Discoverer: Russian research vessel "Akademik Nikolay Strakhov". Year of discovery: 2019. History: Named after Galina Vladimirovna Agapova (1930-2018), a marine geomorphologist and cartographer at the Russian Academy of Sciences since 1955. She participated in many expeditions in various seas and oceans, relating to the discovery and research of underwater features such as seamounts or ridges. Author of more than 100 scientific papers, as well as of bathymetric, geological and tectonic maps, she contributed to the 5th edition of GEBCO, to International Geological and Geophysical Atlases of the Indian, Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, and to the International Tectonic Map of the World. Galina Agapova was a member of the GEBCO Sub-Committee on Undersea Feature Names (SCUFN, formerly SCGN) from 1974 to 2007, where she contributed to the development of Guidelines for the standardization of undersea feature names, and the GEBCO Gazetteer.
