Notes Additional information (en): This is a volcanic feature displaying a rounded crest on the west side, a small crater and an eroded or exploded portion to the east. Minimum depth (m): 4629. Maximum depth (m): 5900. Total relief (m): 1271. Dimension/size: 8 km x 8 km.    
GEBCO: associated meeting, proposer and year of proposal (en): Associated meeting: SCUFN-34. Proposer: Korea Committee on Geographical Names (KCGN). History: 2020.    
GEBCO: discoverer and year of discovery (en): Discoverer: Korean research vessel "Isabu". Year of discovery: 2017. History: Named after Jeongyakjeon, a Korean marine biologist in the late 18th to early 19th Centuries during the Joseon Dynasty. He made great scientific discoveries and advanced marine biology in the East Asia during the early 19th century publishing "Jasaneobo," a technical treatise about marine life near Heuksando Island in the Yellow Sea.
