Additional information (en): The Cascadia Slope stretches north–south for more than 1,000 km along the western edge of North America, from offshore Cape Mendocino to north of the U.S. border with Canada. It shares a name with the associated Cascadia Plain and Cascadia Margin. Proposed by the U.S. Extended Continental Shelf (ECS) project at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). Approved by the U.S. Board on Geographic Names at USBGN Meeting 279; 21 July 2020.
