Additional information (en): A group of undersea features found in this area have been named after different drums, the traditional Chinese musical instruments. They are Bangu (plank drum), Zhangu (war drum), Huapengu (flowerpot drum), Langzhanggu (wolf drum), Shugu (Story-telling drum), Tanggu (Tang drum) and Paigu (group drum). Minimum depth (m): 3637. Maximum depth (m): 4440. Total relief (m): 803. Dimension/size: 10.4 km × 9.1 km. |

GEBCO: discoverer and year of discovery (en): Discoverer: Chinese survey vessel "877 Hao". Year of discovery: 2019. History: Named from its shape as this feature looks like a flowerpot drum, "huapengu" in Chinese. The drum resembles a flowerpot. It is widely used in accompaniment, ensemble and solo in local opera such as Beijing Opera. |
