GEBCO: discoverer and year of discovery (en): Discoverer: Chinese research vessel "Xiang Yang Hong 6". Year of discovery: 2017. History: Named from its shape as this feature looks like a goldfish, "Jinyu" in Chinese language, in top view. The goldfish is one of the world's three famous ornamental fishes, with a history of more than 1,700 years.
