GEBCO: discoverer and year of discovery (en): Discoverer: French research vessel "L'Atalante". Year of discovery: 1999. History: "Bocara" is the local aboriginal name for the nearby Glenelg River, which runs into the ocean north of this feature. It is thought that atsome stage this feature was the ancient extended course of what is now known as the Glenelg River. |
