GEBCO: associated meeting, proposer and year of proposal (en): Associated meeting: SCUFN-36. Proposer: National Institute of Fisheries and Aquaculture (Instituto Nacional de Pesca y Acuacultura - INAPESCA), Mexico. History: 2022.     
GEBCO: discoverer and year of discovery (en): Discoverer: Mexican Research Vessel "Dr. Jorge Carranza Fraser". Year of discovery: 2015. History: Named after Daniel Lluch Belda (1942-2014), a noted Mexican researcher of fisheries sciences. He contributed to the training of students, later becoming leading researchers in the sector. In 2007, together with other colleagues from around the world, he received the Nobel Peace Prize as a member of the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. He was also executive technical coordinator and head of INAPESCA's Pacific Shrimp Programme, where he collaborated in the certification of sardine and lobster fisheries.
