GEBCO: discoverer and year of discovery (en): Discoverer: Estonian research vessel "Livonia". Year of discovery: 1992. History: Named from the nearby Ardencaple Fjord which carves the coast of Greenland at about 74°N-20°W. The term Ardencaple has been derived from a Scottish clan.
