Notes Belgica information: The N end of Lecointe Island, lying just E of Brabant Island in the Palmer Archipelago. Discovered by the BelgAE, 1897-99, under Gerlache, and named by him for a supporter of the expedition (http://www.mapplanet.com/?do=loc&country=_A&adm1=08&loc=20006295 / http://geonames.usgs.gov).    
Belgica information: The northern end of Lecointe Island, lying just east of Brabant Island in the Palmer Archipelago. Discovered by the Belgian Antarctic Expedition, 1897-1899, under Adrien de Gerlache, and named by him for Pierre Kaiser, member of the Royal Belgian Geographical Society and supporter of the expedition.
